| Jesus said to the people who believed in
him, "You are truly my disciples if you keep obeying my teachings. And
you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John
8:31-32 [NLT]) So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free. (John 8:36 [NLT]) |

Many
find difficulty accepting much of what has been submitted by the Word
on this
site.
Nevertheless, old
misconceptions need to be done away to allow the kingdom of God, God's
power reign. (It is
us that must change, not God). The
truth will put us at odds with our beloved fellowman. Jesus came not to judge, but to save. (See John 12:47) The truth is not to put condemnation on those that don't understand and fall short, but to bring liberation through Jesus, freedom to those in bondage. Even the church is in bondage, but there is liberty for those who seek it. We choose to be like Esau or Israel: Liberty or death, which do we choose? (Our wasteland or His wonders?) Psalm
95:6-11 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel
before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the
people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will
hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in
the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers
tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I
grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in
their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware
in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
Many don't take submission to the Spirit to heart, but rather disregard holy things and regard unholy things. Many embrace dishonor and shun things that bestow honor where it is due. Sin leads to death, but obeying the Spirit leads to righteousness. (See Romans 6:16, Acts 5:32 & John 14:18). Obeying the Spirit of Love is not bondage, but contrarily, obeying sin is. Romans 8:20-21 (Weymouth New Testament)
For
the Creation fell into subjection to failure and unreality (not of its
own choice, but by the will of Him who so subjected it). Yet
there was
always the hope that at last the Creation itself would also be set free
from the thraldom of decay so as to enjoy the liberty that will attend
the glory of the children of God.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Romans 6:19b ...now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. |
