not at the expense of the layperson's soul

thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk
Compiled by Brother L. Harrell

In Moses day, Pharaoh, the law of the land, ordered the midwives of Israel to kill all the children born to the Israelites that were boys.  The midwives they had enough sense to not obey such an evil and genocidal command.

Exodus 1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

Exodus 1:20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

Concerning the statute "sabbath is for man"; the decree is to help man, not that man is expendable to help the decree.

Concerning another statute, "He...gave gifts unto men"; the decree is to help man, not for man to be a slave to the decree.
There is a common saying: "the tail does not wag the dog".  The institution / church / office / gift is for man, not the contrary.

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

When there is a violent attack spurred from simple misunderstandings, envy, spite, idleness or retaliation (for not submitting or whatever), the tail must not wag the dog.  The parent office or institution, the children of God are not sacrificed to save it.  In other words: the continuity of an office needs to be protected, but not at the expense of the innocent laity's / layperson's soul (that is what wicked men do).  This principle is not in contradiction to “1 Corinthians 5:1-5”, where an individual has chosen immorality and must be removed from the body of believers.

Matthew 11:12 (NRSV) From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence,  and the violent take it by force.

Some say, "This good deed is for Christ", and neglect those of their households (neglect of the laity and even the other leaders).  Therefore, nullifying His Will, synagogues are built off the blood of our successors [to be].  Neither the office or the children should be neglected.  We build synagogues honoring the very ones we and our fathers have trampled. Children of God are not born, though it was God's will for them to be born.  For their older siblings got drunk and trampled on the innocent infants.  A person can't be for Christ and against His beloved at the same time.

Luke 11:40-43 [NRSV] You fools! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? So give for alms those things that are within; and see, everything will be clean for you. “But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and herbs of all kinds, and neglect justice and the love of God; it is these you ought to have practiced, without neglecting the others. Woe to you Pharisees! For you love to have the seat of honor in the synagogues and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces.

Luke 11:47-48 [NRSV] Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors killed. So you are witnesses and approve of the deeds of your ancestors; for they killed them, and you build their tombs.

Matthew 18:4-5 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

We are not to judge according to the Law of Christ while acting contrary to the Law of Christ:  Law-enforcement must not entail breaking multiple laws in the process.

Acts 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

It is essential that ecclesiastical political infighting does not harm the Lord’s elect: The Lord's heirs of the kingdom cannot be regarded as collateral damage.  Beloved children are not incidental (He gave His life for us).

1 Corinthians 8:12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

1 Corinthians 10:31-33 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.  Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Acts 5:29b We ought to obey God rather than men

King Hezekiah had little concern that those he begat would be eunuchs in the enemy's camp. King Hezekiah "threw his kids under a bus" saying "Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?".  (See 2 Kings 20:19)

If no weapon will prosper against you, then shepherd, chancellor, why are you allowing, falling for, a snare to destroy the sheep, albeit indirectly?
Why are we empowering a powerless serpent? Are we serving the Lord or the institution / church / office?

Mark 16:17a And these signs shall follow them that believe;

Mark 16:18a They shall take up serpents;

The Lord is well able to make known and confirm His Will to all, sparing both the leaders and the beloved laity. The Lord can and will faithfully destroy any weapon (the battle is the Lord's).

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

Luke 10:39b-42 (NRSV) Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.’ But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.’

Mark 9:49-50 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Romans 14:23b for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
